Inspiration

What is inspiration? Well this is the dictionary's version:

I think we can get inspiration from just about anything or anyone... I received a text message yesterday from a friend of mine who I was in Nursing school with. And it really hit me yesterday when I read it. I had no idea that just by blogging about my journey (and yes we still have a long way to go!) would open people up. I haven't talked to my friend in quiet a while so it was unexpected that she would text me. Then I read the text message...This is what she said "I felt my heartstrings tugged by reading your blogs! I love your courage to write about your journey and to read your struggles as they are so similar to mine with my weight!...Inspiration is what you have given me!"
Wow...I inspired someone just by saying what is on my heart... For so long I was ashamed of what I was...Fat... but now I see that doesn't have to define who or what I am. There are options out there and I'm just lucky enough to have an insurance company who pays for the only option I have yet to utilize. It's a realistic option.

To all my family and friends, thank you so much for your encouragement. I never thought I would have this much support from everyone when I chose to have the surgery. It's gonna be a long hard ride, but in the end it will be so worth it because I know I will be healthy, and that's the part that counts right?
